Links of London in hunt for ad agency

The jewellery retailer Links of London is searching for an agency to handle its above-the-line advertising business.
The pitch, which is being run by the Links of London marketing manager, Sadie Green, is currently at the long-list stage. It is believed to involve at least eight agencies, a combination of network and boutique shops. A shortlist of four is expected Links sale later in the month.
The advertising push comes as Links of London makes efforts to expand its jewellery business with moves into the diamond trade.
Last July, the Links of London founders, links of london Wimbledon 2009 Friendship bracelet John Ayton and Annoushka Ducas, sold the company to the Greek luxury retailer Folli Follie for pounds 30 million.
The company is currently seeking to fill the vacant marketing director role. An appointment is expected by the end of the month.
Launched in 1990, Links of London now has 45 stores in locations including London, Links of London Charm Hong Kong and New York. Its most recent outlets were opened in Dublin and Birmingham in December.
